Our Call to the Home Office
The Home office has stated it's purpose as "Building a Safe, Just and Tolerant Society". We call on them to live up to their word.
Make Britain safer by legalising cannabis. Free the judicial system to deal with serious crimes. Give people respect for all laws by changing the ridiculous ones. Provide cannabis users with the safety only a regulated market can bring. Provide society with the safety of knowing there are millions less criminals out there.
The Home Office should make Britain more just by recognising it is not a crime to get high. Make this society more just by giving cannabis users the same freedom alcohol and tobacco users have. Make society infinitely more just by allowing medical users to get cannabis without delay. Justice can not be served when the law is used to stop freedom of choice.
And we must legalise cannabis to show Britain is a tolerant society. A society strong enough to let people choose their own path. A society intelligent enough to recognise it must win its arguments with logic not fear. A society grown-up enough to let it's citizens go free. There is no greater action the Home Office could take to build this safe, just and tolerant society then by ending prohibition now.
