Cannabis Helps Ulcers And Crohn's Disease
British Nursing News, 23rd March 2006| Researchers claim that cannabis may help combat problems such as intestinal ulcers and Crohn's disease. The researchers said they found the drug helped the surface cells of the bowel survive in laboratory experiments. Drugs expert Dr Karen Wright, of Bath University, said: "That means that cannabinoids might well promote wound healing in patients with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. "We don't know how they do this but they are probably promoting the closure of the wound”. She said the team were planning a clinical trial. http://www.bnn-online.co.uk |

Posted by on 16th Dec 09 at 9:41 amCannabis has many anti-inflammatory properties and there has been success in treating diabetic ulcers (some patients can stop insulin), surface melanomas, gliomas, etc. Basically, cannabanoids in indica dominant varieties interact with the C2 cells that line the intestines, reducing the size of granulomas and ulcers.

Posted by on 3rd Feb 10 at 9:48 amIt’s true. I had a colonoscopy and biopsy in July that revealed ulcers in my small intestine. A CT enterography scan in January showed that they had healed. The only medicine I was taking for it was cannabis.
