| The final death knell for an alleged cannabis cafe has sounded as demolition teams arrived to tear it down. Bulldozers were on hand in Victoria Road, Worthing, yesterday, to clear the building said to have been used for cannabis smoking for more than two-and-a-half years. A large scale raid involving 40 officers was conducted in August last year. A large quantity of the drug was seized and the venue was closed, only to be re-opened again within two weeks. Now there is no chance of it resurfacing as it is being demolished to make way for low-cost flats to be built by developers, Worthing Homes. |
